Mother's Day Weekend at Rosen Shingle Creek

Foster and adoptive moms are on the frontlines each and every day in our community. This weekend is a unique one-of-a-kind opportunity for these moms to connect with one another and have time to recharge and rest. This then allows for fostering and adoptive families to continue loving kids from hard places, even in the face of what sometimes feels impossible.

Mother’s Away Retreat is a wonderful event to show your company’s commitment to strengthening families who are fostering or have adopted. Anticipating over 80 moms to attend, the opportunity to sponsor this event will be an impactful way to show your support of our community’s vulnerable children who deserve to be in families.

The Defenders Leadership Advance is an inaugural 3-day event designed for foster and adoptive dads to engage in challenging and interactive activities that give the opportunity to apply leadership skills alongside other dads who get parenting children with trauma histories. Topics for The Advance will include tools for leadership within marriages, relationships, parenting, and work, led by nationally renowned experts.   

At the conclusion of The Advance, Dads will receive a TBRI (Trauma Based Relational Intervention) Caregiver Certificate, that can be used toward foster care relicensing hours and enhanced stipend. We anticipate over 50 dads will gather at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort on Aug. 23-25, 2024. The opportunity to sponsor this event will be an impactful way to empower local men to embrace their role as a father, leading and loving vulnerable children.

The Vulnerable Children’s Initiative (VCI) is a one-of-a-kind community event that convenes the volunteers that make everything happen, including advocates, point people, pastors and church leaders from our Central Florida Community. VCl equips and encourages each of them to take their next step in growing their Family Advocacy Ministry and truly help move the needle here locally related to child welfare outcomes.  

VCI creates awareness of the current state of child welfare, brings together leaders in child welfare and highlights the best practices of equipping volunteers to strengthen families. Anticipating over 100 leaders to gather at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort for this overnight event Aug. 23-24, 2024, the opportunity to sponsor this event will be an impactful way to show your support of our community’s vulnerable children.

September 28, 2024 at Southern Hill Farms

Not all are called to foster, but all are called to care. This celebration is a unique one-of-a-kind opportunity to recognize and say thank you to the over 2500 volunteers, 530 foster/ adoptive families and the hundreds of donors who help make it all happen. 

Fall Thank Y’all is a wonderful evening to show your company’s commitment to strengthening families who are fostering or have adopted, in addition to the many others who have committed to find their way to CARE. Anticipating over 1000 attendees, the opportunity to sponsor this event will be an impactful way to show your support of our community’s vulnerable children who deserve to be in families- all while having a blast at Southern Hill Farms!

Foster and Adoptive couples are so giving to the kids from hard places that at times their most important relationship suffers from neglect. Our Marriage RE:TREAT  is a weekend solely focused on reconnecting with your spouse and recharging together for the next year ahead.
