Volunteer

Your once-a-month commitment may not seem like a lot, but to a family, it means the world.

What does volunteering look like?

Foster and adopted children have unique needs and require intentional focus from their parents.

Supporting these families in practical, hands-on ways provides a healthier context for a child’s transition into their new home. Volunteers offer support in the following ways:

  • Bringing weekly meals

  • Supplying or sourcing practical needs – eg. bunk beds, strollers, car seats, clothing

  • Transporting children to appointments

  • Mentoring children

  • Coordinating volunteers for a foster family

  • Becoming trained to provide respite care

  • Meeting real-time needs for biological families in crisis, such as car seats, furniture, assistance with expenses like utilities, or other items/support required for families to stay intact and outside of the foster system.

Getting started is simple:

C127 and its church partners are always looking for volunteers to support our mission. Here is how you can get started:

  • Sign up below to be notified of upcoming virtual volunteer orientations hosted by different church FAMs

  • After attending the orientation, you will choose what role you prefer to serve, assisting one month per year alongside one family
